THE CHAMOIS

The chamois is a bovid, specifically a type of wild goat, native of central and southern Europe and Asia Minor. They are about 80cm tall until the cross and weigh about 50kg. The horns are hard. They change the color of the coat according to the season, while in winter it is dark in summer it is yellow.
His most important towns are the Alps (Austria, France, Italy, Switzerland) and the Caucasus (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, Turkey), but it can also be found in small towns in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Greece, Macedonia, Montenegro, Poland and Romania, always in hilly terrain between 500 and 3,100m altitude. He has also been introduced in Argentina, New Zeland and the Czech Republic.
